PROJECT COMFORT St. Andrew makes quilts on the first Monday of the month at 7PM. The quilts are distributed by Lutheran World Relief. These quilts are used for warmth, shelter, and backpacks by some of the neediest in our world. - We are currently making some smaller quilts for distribution by a quilt group in Maryland to wounded soldiers. - Help sew, cut, iron, design and more. - Sewing experience is not necessary. |
WFCM (Western Fairfax Christian Ministries) http://www.wfcmva.org/ WFCM provides emergency help for persons living in Centreville, Chantilly, Clifton and parts of Fairfax. Volunteers from 24 area churches address needs which are referred from churches, the Department of Human Services of Fairfax County and other organizations. - The Shepherd Center - Food Pantry provides donated food to families or individuals. - The Shepherd Center - Clothes Closet provides clothing free of charge to clients with demonstrated needs and offers clothing to the public at minimal prices. - On Call Ministry helps people with an emergency financial need. - Holiday Assistance provides Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Baskets and gifts to needy. |

FACETS (Fairfax Area Christian Emergency Transition Services) http://www.facetscares.org/ Saint Andrew supports FACETS by providing western Fairfax County indigent families with a hot meal once a month. Saint Andrew volunteers shop, cook a hot meal, provide dessert, buy diapers and pick up milk to be delivered to hotels for 150 people. |
