Evangelism Ministry Programs
EVANGELISM PLANNING TEAM
We seek innovative ways to reach out to our members, new members, the unchurched, and the community as a whole. Our program focuses on four areas of effective congregational evangelism.
- Hospitality and Response Evangelism (Welcome Them In)
- Discipleship and Incorporation Evangelism (Build Them Up)
- Intentional Community Outreach
- Communication and Evangelism
NEW MEMBERS
New member classes are formed in the fall and spring. Five weeks of instruction are offered which detail the church's vision, mission, and values. Pastor Dennis facilitates these sessions with support from various church leaders. Please contact the church office if you are interested in joining.
WELCOME ONE PROGRAM
This is a new ministry to identify new families moving into our community. The automatic monthly program will make contact and send an invitation to visit Saint Andrew Lutheran Church. A list will also be developed so that our church can do a follow-up outreach.
VISITATION TEAM
A visitation team contacts local visitors after they share in worship with our community.
ENCOURAGING CARDS
Encouraging Cards is a ministry which makes and sends cards to children and adults who are living with disabilities, illnesses and diseases, those who have joined the church, are newly baptized, in nursing homes, prisons, or military deployment. This ministry is a work in process. If you want to share your talent, please contact the church office.
CARING MINISTRY
Our Caring Ministry reaches out to all members on a regular basis, serving as a support group in providing meals to families who are ill, making phone calls, and mailing special cards to those who are ill or in need of sympathy.
