Youth Ministry at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church is for 2nd-12th grade students.

OUR YOUTH GROUPS:
Each of our youth groups is actively supported by a team of adults from our congregation who provide planning and organization, as well as supervision for each of our planned activities.

SrHi: This group provides ministry opportunities for 9th-12th grade students, members and friends.  We meet monthly for service, fellowship and faith opportunities. 

We have an annual mission trip in which we work with a chapter of Habitat for Humanity along the east coast during the summer.

Every three years (next in 2012 in New Orleans) we attend the ELCA's National Youth Gathering.  This is a faith-building experience where we join over 30,000 other students and leaders from across the United States for a 4 day mountain top experience of worship, faith building and service opportunities.

Jr. High (7th-8th grades):  This youth group meets outside of weekly Confirmation sessions for monthly fellowship and service opportunities.  We also have a week-long camp/mission trip experience available.  In 2010 we will be working with "Week of Hope" to help families and communities in need.

56 Friday (5th-6th grades) meets 8-10 times each year for faith, service and fellowship fun.  A week-long summer camp/mission trip, the "Week of Hope" is available to current 6th graders.

COMMUNICATION
Communication for each group happens weekly in "The Post" with our bulletin, monthly in our newsletter "The Spirit of Saint Andrew" (see links on our Resources page), via e-mail and post mail.  For our SrHi and Jr. High youth, we also have a group page on Facebook to stay connected and provide additional event information.
